Detailed version: I worked 2 years at a major media in Wuhan, learning about all kinds of industries there and across China. Then 4 years at a Yunnan media outlet covering law and crime — drug busts near the Golden Triangle almost every month, wildlife smuggling, and more. I'm a longtime motorcycle and road-trip lover. I've ridden all five routes into Tibet and visited every region there, including crossing the Himalayas and Karakoram on the G219 highway (Many times), plus the full Karakoram Highway.KKH. I've spent over half a year in Tibet and two months trekking in Nepal — I know these mountains well. Of the world's 14 peaks over 8,000m, I've seen 11 with my own eyes. I only like looking at mountains, not climbing them. So mountains, ancient Chinese architecture, and China itself — these are the things I know best. — happy to talk about that too. In 2026, I started another journey around China again with my electric car. My car is basically my “land sailing boat” — it carries my fridge, food, water, cooking equipment, and everything I need for life on the road. Without driving, it can support about a week of camping off-grid. I travel slowly, searching for hidden places, villages, mountains, and stories beyond the usual tourist routes.
