HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING My door is open to others. A lot of people slept on my couch, not especially using CouchSurfing. I also slept on many couches while travelling or visiting Friends. Also, I noticed that CS-people tend to be out-of-the-box, fun-to-hang-out-with, open-minded, surprising. I used to meet members of this Community, either when travelling or at home, through CS-events, meet-ups or parties. COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE The first time I officially CouchSurfed was in Vancouver Island in 2011. It was like meeting Friends of a Friend. Very good first impression. Then California, Canada, London, Switzerland, Thailand, Louisiana, Italy, Russia, Taïwan, Japan... You get a chance to access the secret parts of an area, making your journey unforgettable. Some CouchSurfers became my temporary roomies. Some became long-lasting Friends. With other you will feel no special connection, but somehow it's always an overall positive experience.
