When I was a kid, I once dreamed that an airplane crashed behind my house. I looked outside and saw people getting out who spoke a language I couldn’t understand. I remember being incredibly happy to see them and secretly wishing they would take me somewhere far away. I guess that dream never really left me :) I grew up in a small village in Sumatra, Indonesia, with eight siblings. Life was mostly hard work, and from a young age I always felt there had to be something beyond my hometown. I studied Mechanical Engineering, worked for a Japanese company, and ended up living in Osaka for three years. Later I left engineering to build my own sports media business, traveling around the world with a camera as a journalist, photographer and content creator. Then covid-19 happened and everything fell apart. A friend called me to help film a project in Bali. I came for the job and somehow never left. Six years later, Bali is home. I spent covid exploring the island, diving, surfing, playing sports and trying basically every outdoor adventure I could find. About five years ago I discovered padel and got completely hooked. Now I’m a padel coach in Bali, teaching people in English, a language I once struggled so hard to learn. Padel eventually brought me back to Europe for three months, visiting friends I had met in Bali. One of my favorite moments was walking through Barcelona and suddenly thinking about that kid from a small village in Sumatra who once dreamed about getting on an airplane and going somewhere else. I ended up crying in the middle of the street. Not because I was sad. I just thought, “How the hell did I get here?” I guess I’m still that kid. Still curious. Still chasing that feeling. Still saying yes to the next adventure. If you have a good story, a crazy plan, a spare seat, or just want to talk nonsense over a beer, we’ll probably get along. I’m not looking for places to stay. I’m looking for the people who make the journey worth remembering. I also a slow traveler. I like to stay long enough to feel a place, understand the rhythm, and connect with people rather than rush from spot to spot. My Philosophy or life: The goal isn’t to live forever, but to create something that will. If you’re curious to know me more, let’s meet and share stories 😊

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I enjoy meeting locals, learning about culture through real conversations, and building genuine connections. Couchsurfing for me is about trust, stories, and shared moments.
Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy John Mayer, Michael Bublé, and The Weeknd. I like documentaries, drama series, and comedy. Books that stayed with me include Barack Obama’s biography, The Land of Five Towers, and works by Basko.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
I spent one month in Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, living with locals. I learned how to weave traditional fabric called Tenun and experienced a very simple and beautiful way of life. That experience changed my perspective deeply, and I hope to return one day. I was also traveling in the UK when Covid started and managed to get back home just before lockdown. That moment taught me how fragile plans are and how important presence is. Current Europe Journey for 3 months This trip is about depth, not distance. I spent one month in Barcelona, one week in Izmir, two weeks in Paris, a few days in Belgium and the Netherlands, and one week in Germany. Next stop is Albania for one week, then back to Spain with one week in Madrid and two more weeks in Barcelona. Spain feels like home right now, especially because of padel.
