Hello, Couchsurfing family! After nearly 10 years hosting friends from all over the world through this platform, I’ve finally started my own journey. First, I focused on getting to know my own country, Argentina, in a trip that took me 18 months. Now I’m on my first round-the-world trip, primarily hitchhiking, slowly, looking to connect with people, their stories, and the things that make them laugh. For many years, I worked interviewing people and writing to make a living. I try to express myself with creativity and good humor whenever I can. I really enjoy conversations: from those that might seem trivial to those that go deep. For more about me, you can find me on Instagram @mepierdoseguido (spanish) @thelosthitcher (english).

Why I'm on Couchsurfing
I love making new friends. Before I knew what Couchsurfing was, I used to look at tourists and backpackers, wondering what stories they had and where they were headed. Now it’s not just that. I truly believe in what this platform stands for: real and sincere human exchange, with no other interests involved. Since I started hosting travelers at my place, I’ve tried to make them feel at home. Now I believe it’s the best way to get to know a place: through the eyes of its own locals.
Music, Movies, and Books
- Lately, I've been obsessed with Pearl Jam and travel books.
One Amazing Thing I've Done
- Once, I was inside a nuclear reactor. - I connected a kid from Argentina who made a clay dinosaur with an archaeologist from Mexico. - I hitchhiked on a boat. - I jumped off a bridge because my friends did it (and because my mom always asked if I would).
Teach, Learn, Share
- I can teach you Spanish and writing techniques. - I can help you if you need something related to digital marketing (I actually enjoy a lot helping with that).
My Interests
-I really enjoy talking about TV shows, books, and movies. -Now that I’ve learned how to camp, I’m really loving nature. -I’m quite self-taught: I’m currently practicing painting with watercolors. -I play the ukulele and the guitar. -I always enjoy learning new languages.
