Why I'm on Couchsurfing
Have always enjoyed traveling and meeting new people, learning about different cultures and hearing first hand what life is like in other countries. Never knew of couchsurfing , but find the idea of opening my home to others who are looking for more then just a packaged tour a great one. To those who may be wanting to stay, if you've read my reviews you know I've picked up guests from the airport and taken them site-seeing and to local attractions they may have wanted to see. Due to eye issues, I am no longer driving so am unable to do this anymore. From the airport, I'm almost a 2 hour bus trip to where I live in Las Vegas. Uber/Lyft etc. will cost $30 and up . From my home it's about an hour bus ride to the Las Vegas Strip. By car I'm about 45 min to the airport and 25 to the strip. I've hosted a few who did not find this a problem, but have surfers too who have changed their mind after I gave them this information so putting it out there so you know in advance if this is an issue for you.

While Union President, fought for and achieved recognition of gay rights in our contract. Named Volunteer of the year (2026) for the LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada.
My Interests
sight-seeing, reading, movies, and of course you can't live in Las Vegas and not go to the casino occasionally
