CURRENT MISSION Finding people and experiences that will enrich my life or to have a beer with as many unique people as I can before I kick the bucket. ABOUT ME Most of my friends call me Tex, considering that I grew up in Texas. I have been in Michigan for the past ten years, but I still have the occasional "y'all" or "fixin to" slip into my speech. I spend a tremendous amount of time around people, and I love having conversations with anyone around me, whether it is a close friend or complete stranger. I'm not one to let awkward silences linger. I definitely need some laughter or conversation to be filling the air when I am around. I have finally hit a point in my life where I feel capable of being able to travel. It's been a passion of mine for a very long time but never managed to get myself too far from home. Catch 22, Hocus Pocus, Life on the Mississippi, A People's History of the United State of America, I, Robot, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, and World War Z are my favorite books. My favorite movies are: Shawshank Redemption, Tommy Boy, China Town, Brick, and The Thing. I enjoy many different types of music but a few of my favorite bands/artists to listen to are She & Him, Otis Redding, My Morning Jacket, Daft Punk, and TV on the Radio.
