Balagan nr 3 with Klezmofobia - Rækværk - ClaesBlæ

Organized by jack_in_dk, Zhenya A., and Severa Aquilia

Winter is coming — but fear not cause BALAGAN is about to turn the heat up! This December we are back with a yet another exciting night of Balkan, klezmer and world music.
With pride and joy, BALAGAN presents:
House DJ: ЖЩ [RU]

RÆKVÆRK is a fantastic Copenhagen-based orchestra known for their energetic blend of outlandish tones and familiar feelings. Acoustic meets electric when thrilling violin races guitar and organ through crooked rhythms and riveting scales, through the turbulent and proud Balkan story. It reminds how ethnic music will always be the music of the people. Ready or not, Rækværket will make you move!

KLEZMOFOBIA is a postmodern klezmer band that is so experienced and rich in inspiration that with this experience they can circumvent cultural dogmas on their own terms and continue to drive klezmer tradition one step further – and with full respect to the origins. Klezmofobia masterfully plays with tradition and modern trends, splitting and reassembling them in a new meaning. They connect to their audience like no other, with such emotion and musical depth, that every witness becomes a part of a common experience - an experience not to miss!

The frontman of Umti Orkestar and trumpetist in Bjonko and Iris Gold, ClaesBlæs has been a part of the Balkan and world music scene in Copenhagen for years. He's got a wide collection of burning hot tunes for the dancing feet and you might just get transported from the Balkans to almost anywhere in the world. He is just as exited to come and play for another round of BALAGAN as we are to dance at his wild afterparty!

House DJ ЖЩ is constantly in search for the jolliest tunes and surprising dancing beats from the fascinating treasury of the East-European traditions.
