Enjoy Walk&Talk in Tokyo! (Charity for Kumamoto)

Organized by Mika Kaida

  • Sun May 1 from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM (JST)
  • Tokyo, Japan
  • This event is over.

<International Charity Walk&Talk in Tokyo>
This is an event to raise funds for the Kumamoto earthquake victims.
Let's enjoy a language and cultural exchange while walking, and send our prayers to Kumamoto!
The aim is not hardcore exercise, so the pace will be moderate.
We'll be stopping at Ueno park and Nezu shrine for a break.
(Nezu shrine is famous for its beautiful spring flowers!)

LOCATION: From Ueno to Nezu area, Tokyo
MEETING TIME: 2:00pm
(Ending time will be around 4:30pm but it depends on our walking pace and the length of our stops.)
MEETING PLACE: JR Ueno Koen-guchi Exit

I'll be holding a sign that says "International Walk & Talk".
Ueno Station is very busy and complicated, so I recommend you come with plenty of time to spare just in case.

LATE ARRIVAL:
If you arrive late, let the organiser know before the event starts; otherwise we'll start walking promptly at 2pm.
Please note that the organiser will be unable to provide information about the group's current position or how to meet up with them once the walk begins.

FEE: Donation
No fixed fee. Donate as much as you feel like.
Bills would be appreciated as coins would make the fund bag too heavy.
The profit will be donated to Kumamoto city and/or an NPO working in the devastated areas (depending on the amount we'll make). I'll report the amount and the organisation we'll donate after the event.

ATTENDANCE&CANCELLATION:
If you're going to bring your friend(s), let me know how many there will be so that I can estimate the size of our group.
Update your attendance status when there's any change.

WEATHER:
In case of rain, the event will be cancelled.
A cancellation announcement will be made on the previous day.

SMOKING:
Please refrain from smoking during the walk.
Maybe you can smoke when we have a break, but I'm not sure if there's a place for smoking.
If you're a smoker, kindly bring your own portable ashtray.
