About Me

Current mission:
To make change -
think borderless,
act borderless,
support globally.
Because together we become

Originally from the westcoast, from a city built on herring; Haugesund.
Even though The Pulpit Rock is only two hours south
of Haugesund, I have never been there.
I dream of one day hiking up the Pulpit Rock,
with a bunch of great couchsurfers, a boomblaster and my bunad.

I think happiness comes and goes, but it stays close.
Easygoing, and a thinker, trying to be a doer.
Get easily fascinated by people I meet, nature, ideas, moments.
I use a lot of irony and sarcasm in a monoton way.
Being a fan of more social control, I say; behave, take care of eachother
and know thy neighbour!

Oslo knows me well and I know Oslo well.
I can recommend places to be at the right time,
which are off the touristtraps/tracks.
But there are traps/tracks worth checking out -
even at the wrong time..!

During the last years I have done small fieldwork in
Kenya, Guatemala, Denmark, India and Ghana.
I've worked with different topics like working conditions for coffeefarmers, migration and child labour, woman and microfinance/self help groups and segregation/"ghettofication."
I like being in progress/ in a prosess in these types of projects.

I enjoy things like a slow coffeebreak, singing in groups, big hugs, hiking, a walk in the forest or by the ocean, yoga by donation, discoveries, roadtrips, a good portion of chocolate, movies like La Grande Bellezza and more.

I've picked up a few quotes in my life:
Quote from a greek friend:

-Well, it was a considerably good, sunny day in Copenhagen.
And I only fell in love 596 times.
You could say I am strong.

A little poem that meets you in the airport in Oslo..:
Are you where you are?
Are you not where you are?
Go to where you are,
I'll wait for you there.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

Meeting locals and travelers, through couchsurfing or not, over a cup of coffee or a cartrip, is just fabolous.

CS started when a man from San Fransisco was planning a trip to Reykjavik. And it grew.

CS is dynamic, always changing and moving.

I will give you advices and meet you when I can.
I am unfortunately not hosting at the moment.

I'm currently one of the organizers of the mid - and end of the month-meeting in Cafe Asylet, and hoping to see you there :)

Last 2014 has been a good couchsurfingyear.
I have really enjoyed CS - meetings, constitution day with CS'ers, rooftopparties, dinners, cinema and concerts.

Innovative ideas, discoveries, to hang out in festivals in music, art and cinema, trips for visiting friends and locals around.
I enjoy spending time with good storytellers.
I'm a fan of small islands and big or small lighthouses.
I enjoy meetingplaces, like the CS - meetings.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Singing a duet in a cathedral in Normandy when I was 15.

Stayed and worked alone in the highest-lying and most western lighthouse in Norway for 1 month and explored the peaceful silence. It was a success and his highly recommended! The Lighthouse also has a an Artist in residence - flat. Ask me for more info. ;)

In 2008 we went hiking from Skogar to Thorsmork,(passed Eyafjallajökull) stayed in tents, singing "Maria, Maria", with bonfire, wool and icelandic traditional food. We then jeeped straight down to an amazing, free concert in a park with Sigur Ros and Björk playing together.
