My wife and I are looking to start our new life in Colorado. She arrived in the U.S. this year and would love to go to college. She needs intensive English classes before, which is why we are heading to the ESL Academy at the University of Colorado Denver.
We have couchsurfed many times during pleasure travels and love the experience of meeting locals and getting advice from them. This time we are asking for your help and advice to make our move an enjoyable experience. We are driving an SUV with a small utility trailer behind it hauling our belongings. We would like to find places to stay during our road trip from Connecticut to Colorado.
We are planning for a week-long trip so that we can see at least a few towns, rest properly and hang out with people we meet. Some places we have in mind to stop for a night or two are: Lock Haven PA, Youngstown OH, South Bend IN, maybe Chicago IL, Iowa City IA, Lincoln NE, Lake Mcconaughy NE and Loveland CO.
If you are near one of these areas and have availability to host we would love to hear from you. We appreciate any help you can provide to us during this adventure!
To drive from Florida to Connecticut with my fiancée: it is her very first time in the United States and I would like to kick off her visit with a grand tour of the east coast. We both grew up in Colombia, I'm planning to have her fly into Miami and I would drive down from Connecticut and then back up north with her.
I think it is a great time of the year especially now that the temperature is warmer. We would like to do a mix of camping, couchsurfing and a few hotel stays. But we would prefer couchsurfing most of the time because it would be great to meet locals along the way, specially for her, and also we are on a budget ;)
I have couch surfed numerous times by myself when I drove to Alaska. It was an unforgettable experience, and the people I met will never be forgotten.

I started couch surfing during my trip to Alaska: ca2ct-2013.blogspot.com
I enjoy music, reading, all kinds of physical activity, I really like playing soccer, bicycling and recently swimming.
My current goal is to keep traveling at my own pace, learn from the people I meet, teach them what I know and share experiences with new friends.
I wouldn't say I'm hard working but I work hard towards the goals I want to accomplish.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sail. Explore. Dream. Discover. -Mark Twain
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I participate by responding to inquiries and questions as soon as possible. I also recommend Couchsurfing to everyone who might find it useful.
During my CT2AK roadtrip I surfed 10+ times in the lower 48, Canada and Alaska. Thanks to everyone that hosted me my trip was much more enjoyable.
I haven't had the opportunity to host yet.
Food, sports, hiking, running, biking, reading, video games.
I rather read a good book than watch TV. I like movies a lot though.
I want to learn to play the drums and enhance my skills trading in the stock market.
