ABOUT ME
John Berteloot was born and raised in the Bay Area. He is very active in the community devoting time toward improvements in family communication, child safety, disaster education and Bible reading. John has been writing off and on for several years. He frequently delivers public discourses on a variety of subjects and is a polished speaker. Due to his many travels, John has personally experienced numerous natural disasters and a handful of his personal experiences have been included to highlight the seriousness of this subject
PHILOSOPHY
Natural disasters are among the most fearful of events and not being prepared can compound such fears. People tend to limit their disaster education to what might happen in their hometown. When you travel this limited knowledge could hurt you. Contemporary researchers anticipate an increase in the frequency and severity of natural disasters. If a natural disaster took place right now, how would you respond? Most of us cannot answer that question properly. This publication provides the needed foundation to prepare for the unexpected. All major disasters are covered alphabetically. An emergency contact list is provided to fill out. Tips for assisting the elderly, those with disabilities, handling animal attack and planning ahead for your pets is also included.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have survived several nautral disasters, and cheated death, so education on this subject is near to my heart.
Teach, Learn, Share
When you travel always be sure to include disaster education in your plans. A simple book that covers everything and would fit in your luggage, purse, glove box, etc is an ideal thing to always have with you. When the power goes out, TV and the internet are of no use. A book however is always ready for use and more practicle than loose-leaf printouts.
