to hear as many foreign languages/accents as I can !
So, yet another "all about you" box to fill out!
My name is Lindsay, I'm 5'7, brown curly hair, with brown eyes. I'm a pescatarian. I don't drink alchol but I still like to go out to clubs and the like. I like tattoos, ocean air and dogs! All random, but I guess I am too!
I'm currently living in Paris for the summer with family. When I'm not in Paris you'll find me in Ottawa, Canada where I'm a student, speed skating coach and assistant to the womans hockey coach at my university. I'm pretty proud to be Canadian, but I'm also Portuguese which I'd like to think is pretty cool too lol.
I love learning and hearing different languages, I'm kind of obbsessed (I try to take courses in university, but I prefer to learn it on my own time). Which is one of the reasons why I love to travel. I'd love to travel the world someday, but since I'm on the budget of a student I'm going to have to hold out on that dream for a little while!
My first tattoo (and only for now) is an exerpt from a poem I read a while back; it reads "gather ye rosebuds while ye may". It basically means live your life to the fullest, which is how I like to live my life. I may not always do whats "proper", or "expected" (I come from a pretty traditional family) but I do what is right for me, and I think I'm doing pretty good so far!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Well I just found out about this site about a week ago from a friend, so I don't have much experience in it quiet yet.
I think I covered most of this above
Music, Movies, and Books
Oh gosh, ok there are too many to name! If we ever meet in person and you still would like to know just ask me!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hmmm well here are some recent experiences....
going to the D-Day beaches in Normandy (Gold, Omaha and Juno) for the anniversary celebrations and talking to verterans who were my age when they fought in WWII and helped liberate France. The entire experience was absolutly surreal.
celebrating Bastille day in a suburb of Paris (St.Germain-en-Lay) which overlooks Paris and all of its surrounding towns on a grand hill, watching a firework show burst in front of me and all of Paris.
