ABOUT ME

I grew up in a small town in Illinois but now call Atlantic Beach, Florida my home. I study and work in global public health research and programming. My husband is an avid surfer and shaper as well as an RN. Currently we are living in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia for my two year position with an academic institution in the United States and a national veterinary program in Mongolia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I enjoy staying with people who have pride and respect for the area so they can show me everything that it has to offer, which may not be included in a travel brochure.

Right now, my ability to host people is limited as my field work means that I travel often.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My friend and I used CS for our 2012 backpacking trip and it was an amazing experience filled with fantastic people. Since then I try to stay at least one night on a couch when I am out of the country so I can truly see the place I am visiting.
