Join Couchsurfing to see Aimo’s full profile. It’s free!
29-year-old guy from Helsinki. I live alone in a small studio flat near the center and work for the Helsinki area public transport authority.
I usually spend my free time at our summer house picking berries, mushrooms and laying in the hammock. In the winter I just wait for the summer, it's kinda depressing here.
How would I describe myself? Google "Socially awkward penguin". That's about it. Ok I'm not that bad. All the time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've noticed that hosting people is a good way to make me clean my apartment.
Going to places other people don't go, riding buses and trams aimlessly around the city, sending postcards to my friends and myself, sleeping, beer :)
And I love border crossings as we are isolated behind the sea here!

Music, Movies, and Books
Any books or movies based on true stories :) I really liked the movie Import/Export.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Teach, Learn, Share
”A Finn often demonstrates interest by listening, while an American asks and interrupts."
“Such an individual often listens and thinks while others talk. However, they open their mouths when it’s their turn to talk and express something relevant to the discussion. Finns are able to interpret this kind of silence, but it is difficult for other cultures to be comfortable with it.”
