Looking to head out and explore all of Australasia to see all things remote, wild and amazing.
I'm one of those travelers that still doesn't want to go home even though it's been a few years. People tend to think I'm a bit shy but, truthfully, I'm just introverted and tend to listen to others than speak about myself. So, yes, I rather climb a mountain than sit in a bar but I'm always up for a new challenge!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Primarily couch surf since I'm still in travel mode
Have surfed on numerous couches, beds, floors and back yards, and met many cool and wondrous people doing it.
Traveling off the well-worn beaten path
Hiking, scuba diving, camping...pretty much anything regarding the outdoors
Science and am one of those nerds who may point out something awesome that know one else understands
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Anything new that I haven't heard 1000 times repeated on my player over the last 3 years is great!
Books: Nonfiction mainly but who hasn't read Game of Thrones?
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Played badminton with some monks in Vietnam
Played football with some monks in Myanmar
Actually, come to think of it, I've played football with locals in every country I've been to except Thailand
Worked, traveled, hitchhiked, couch surfed, fruit-picked, camped, hiked, drove, drove some more, all over Australia
Teach, Learn, Share
Helping others improving their English seems to be my most requested skill and don't mind being a walking dictionary
I've spent a lot of time in Australia and SE Asia and am happy to share advice
I need to bake more so remind me and I may attempt one of my family's recipes
Countries I’ve Visited
Australia, Belize, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, New Zealand, Thailand, Viet Nam
Countries I’ve Lived In
Australia, Canada, New Zealand
