Sobre mí

Ram Ram Sa 🙏 | Kem Cho 😄 | Namaskar 🌸

I’m Aakash — pure Marwadi by heart. Born in Rajasthan, brought up in Gujarat, and shaped by both cultures. Marwadi values at home, Gujarati vibes outside — so yes, I understand both deeply and respect all cultures, religions, and ways of life.

I’m not a full-time traveller, but when life gets a little heavy, I pack my bag and travel to slow down, breathe, and reconnect. I travel for peace, people, and perspective — not for ticking places off a list.

Over time, I’ve found myself becoming a budget-luxury traveller. I don’t book expensive hotels, but I do love comfort, clean spaces, good food, and calm moments. Real luxury for me is enjoying the chaos, doing small jugads (smart local hacks), eating local food like a true foodie, and turning simple days into good memories.

I enjoy calm places, spiritual spots, festivals, and slow travel — where you actually feel the place instead of rushing through it.

By profession, I work in brand management and marketing. And like a true Marwadi stepping into business, I believe in smart work, growth, and long-term thinking — but also in living life with balance.

I’m simple, respectful, curious, and easy to get along with. If we meet, expect good conversations, tea breaks, cultural stories, and positive energy — and maybe a few laughs too.

🚫 Couchsurfing is NOT a dating app for me.
✈️ I’m here to explore places, share cultures, and have meaningful conversations.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

After graduation, I had a dream to study abroad and meet people from different cultures around the world. Like many dreams, life took a different turn. Some chaos happened, responsibilities came in, and that plan didn’t work out.

But the desire to travel and connect with people never left me.

I wanted to travel, but without much money, I kept asking myself — how is this even possible? So I did what I knew best. I started working, learning, and earning slowly, while looking for smarter ways to travel within my limits.

One day, a former colleague introduced me to Couchsurfing. He told me it’s not just about staying for free, but about meeting travellers, learning cultures, and travelling mindfully even with budget constraints. That idea immediately connected with me.

Through Couchsurfing, I found a way to live my old dream in a new form. I love exchanging Indian culture with people from different countries, sharing stories, and having deep, meaningful conversations that stay with you long after the journey ends.

For me, Couchsurfing is not just a platform — it’s a reminder that even when plans change, dreams can still find a new path.

Música, películas y libros

Music:
Rajasthani folk is my soul music. I’m a true Seema Mishra paglu (crazy fan of her voice) 😄 — she is lovingly known as Maru Kokila, meaning the nightingale of the desert.

Movies & Books:
Not a big movie or book buff, but I’m always happy to join in if the company is good 😊.

Algo increíble que he hecho

When I started travelling and meeting people from different cultures, I realised that before sharing my culture, I needed to understand it myself.

So I began by exploring my roots — first Rajasthan, then Gujarat — learning about traditions, food, festivals, and everyday life. This helped me understand who I am and what my culture truly means.

Later, with support from fellow travellers, I helped start a small community in Pune called Pune Pathik Panchayat, where travellers meet every third Saturday to share stories, cultures, and life experiences.

For me, this journey of learning my roots and building a community is one of the most meaningful things I’ve done.
