To explore the world, in all of it's vastness and radiance.
Hello =) my name is Aarti (pronounced ARE TEE) I will be 21 in December. I am a theoretical physics and chem engineering major, living in New York. I've lived here since I was two with my parents and brother. I am originally from Trinidad and Tobago. I want to see as much of the world, as I can, as well as meet as many lovely people as possible! I am very into fitness at the moment, love working out and going running - I am also a hobbyist contortionist.
Live your life the way you'd like. You don't get the life you want by sitting around, you work hard to create it! So, imagine hard - then get out there and do it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
At the moment I'm not able to host anyone but will definitely meet up and hang out and all that jazz once I'm available! Hopefully in the future I'll be able to host some fantastic surfers.
None at the moment but when I begin traveling I hope to meet up with plenty of new, wonderful people!
I'm quite a book worm, love to read. Love physics of course and astronomy. I also love taking photos, I take photos of everything pretty, everyone I love and anything in between! Spend lots of time volunteering as well, mostly at animal shelters - I love dogs!

Music, Movies, and Books
The Wizard of Oz is my favorite movie haha - documentaries. Any and everything by Richard Dawkins and Noam Chomsky.
I am eclectic when it comes to music but very into house and atmospheric metal these days.
Love anything by Isaac Asimov. The HP series of course, anything pertaining to quantum literacy and theoretical physics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can't pinpoint any one thing in particular as people amaze me. The world around me - hence me wanting to travel the world! I love to be amazed and I love adrenaline!!! Will be skydiving upon arrival in Australia! =)
