COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in Montreal in August, 2007, with my boyfriend. I had never couchsurfed before, and was a bit nervous about it. It was an awesome experience! Our host was amazing -- great space, and she spent quite a bit of time showing us around her local haunts. I joined the site as soon as I got back home again.

Running, hashing, hiking, biking, rollerblading, salsa dancing, music, reading, cooking, eating, seeing old friends, playing with small children, talking to adolescents.

Music, Movies, and Books

Nothing scary. I enjoy documentaries and independent films the most. I love to read. Just read Freakanomics, which was quite interesting, though I felt poorly supported by his evidence at times. Blink was great. Fiction: Richard Russo, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Isabelle Allende, Amy Tan. Music: rock, jazz, bluegrass, classical... almost everything except rap. Just can't get into it. Love music that doesn't sound overly produced.
