About Me

Travel around, enjoy life, write, and help people out.

I'm a friendly Kiwi with a passion for film, television, animals, rock and metal.
I'm quiet, reliable and I adore travelling about.

I was brought up on a farm/lifestyle block so animal welfare is one of my main passions but I also enjoy writing and find music a big part of my life.

The worst job I've had was working in a factory (with no windows) packing bread until the early hours of the morning. The best? Working at a video store, recommending films to people and watching 8 hour Batman and Breaking Bad marathons.

I love the outdoors and strolling about unfamiliar territory finding new spots. I'm also no stranger to some good sloth-like relaxing and taking time out to reflect.

Over the course of my degree I have managed to gain a heck of a lot of knowledge regarding both the film and television industry and I'm incredibly willing to chat with anyone of similar passions or even those with a passing interest.

I've been a fan of the UK for my entire life as they've given the world so many great films and television shows: Snatch, Lock Stock & Two Smoking Barrels, In Bruges, Trainspotting, Shaun of the Dead and in the TV sector: Sherlock, Luther, Utopia, Black Mirror and anything and everything David Attenborough and Louis Theroux. I absolutely adore the BBC.

Scotland, in particular, feels like my spiritual home (my grandfather was born in Glasgow). Everything from the peaceful and spectacular highlands, to the razor-sharp sense of humour everyone seems to have, to dogs being allowed in pubs! I’m an advocate for anything and everything Scottish.

Now that I'm done with university, my personal philosophy can be summed up with a mantra as simple as "do it!" (don't sue me, Nike).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Back in 2012, I opted to swap employment, security and comfort for a 20,000 KM road-trip around Canada and the USA. During my travels I managed to visit 6 Canadian territories and 27 States. Without a doubt, the best choice I have made thus far in life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have an extensive knowledge of films, directors and their back catalogues. I am also wildly passionate about the above listed bands and know pretty much everything there is to know. Muso and cinephile through and through.

I also want to learn more about the wildlife of the world as I strongly believe they have more of a right to it than we do.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything and everything movie related. A good, dry bit of British banter. I love a good cup of tea and to be honest, have always felt a bit British at heart.

I can also tell you anything you've ever wanted to know about New Zealand as it's my home.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, Denmark, England, Germany, Ireland, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Scotland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Canada, New Zealand, United States
