Hello! I'm from quiet central Maine, USA and love the pristine natural beauty, fresh air, and solitude here but I also adore travelling, learning, and meeting new people.
I've had great experiences with the Warmshowers site (couchsurfing specifically for folks touring on a bicycle) as well as Workaway (work/trade connections) with positive feedback on both sites. Hopeful to share good experiences through this app as well!

Solo travelling can get lonely so I like to connect with people along the way.
I save my money for food and experiences, and like getting the inside scoop on life, culture, and things to do from local residents.

Interests

I like to make art, journal, and play sports of all kinds- particularly riding my bicycle, yoga, volleyball, and boxing.
I love live music and dancing, and other creative spaces- from craft fairs to museums to theaters, from the humblest to grandest scale. Natural history museums are usually my favorite.
I feel most at peace outdoors and am usually up for anything nature-related.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

People are often surprised to hear about my experience with competetive boxing- it seems at odds with my gentle and compassionate nature, but I also consider myself an athlete with a passionate and independent spirit, so this unique sport was a great fit for me...and the adrenaline rush is addicting. I had just two fights; due to shoulder injuries I don't train anymore.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have professional experience in house painting, childcare, petsitting, office management, digital marketing, house cleaning. I adored my job of 5 years as a program manager at the local children's museum. I volunteer at my local bicycle shop and am slowly learning the ropes of bicycle mechanics. I love learning, and working with my hands; game to try anything.
