About Me
I ... umm ... things? This section is why I never got into online dating.
I'm on a grand adventure with my "partner in crime" (link to Joe's profile) to figure out where we want to be in the world.
I believe wholeheartedly in living the life that will make the best memoir possible when you're old and broke and need to live off the royalties.
I love cats. I have two hateful rescued furballs that are currently living with a foster family in Las Vegas. They're horrible little terrorists, I love them dearly.
I went to culinary school, and love to cook. Specialties include, but are not limited to: mac and cheese, Coq au vin, steak tartare, and pretty much anything dessert.
I have a bad (good?) habit of wanting to do ALL THE THINGS and see ALL THE THINGS, so I am always open to new experiences.
I grew up with horses, and enjoy (but don't know enough about!) agriculture, so that would be a big plus for me - I've also looked into WWOOFing around.
Someday I think I would love to run a B&B - I love hospitality, meeting new people, and event planning, so it seems like the perfect intersection. Ideally it would also be relatively self-sustaining, and use primarily or entirely local produce.
Interests
FOOD! I love experiencing local food ... pretty sure I could eat my way around the world. I love to cook, and always love checking out local markets for whatever's seasonal.
History, especially textile history. I love historic homes, costume collections, vintage stores ... if it has a story, I want to hear it. Museums are also a must-visit wherever I am, the mustier the better.
Books! I worked in antiquarian book repair, and believe heavily in the healing power of a quiet night in with a good book (and a glass - or two - of wine.) I love treasure hunting in local bookstores, although I find it difficult to limit my purchases ...
I do enjoy the occasional night out, but as I've just left a year of living in Las Vegas I'm enjoying the slower pace of pub culture and, well, sleep.
