About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To travel the coffee trails of Latin America
ABOUT ME
My family is from Mexico and I was born and raised in San Diego. After travelling over the years to Europe and around the U.S. I found myself coming back in Latin America every chance that I had. I appreciate the beauty and culture of the places I get to visit, but also understand the reality for so many people which goes unnoticed by most visitors.
After graduating recently from Berkeley, I am working on a project that builds tools to help connect small-holder coffee farmer cooperatives to the resources they need to operate. The best part about it all is that I get to travel the coffee trails and meet wonderful people who really care about the work they do.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
We camped in a place called Marcahuamachuco which are ruins just outside the mountain town of Huamachuco in Northern Peru. It is an isolated set of ruins that is currently being developed for tourist visits but still a couple years away from opening. We got up there through a contact in the community that still lives among the ruins and is helping refurbish them. Camping by ourselves at the top of the mountain and waking up to the ruins, with a vista of clouds hundreds of feet below us is one of the more awesome moments I've had while travelling.
