ABOUT ME

I spent my childhood watching nature documentaries and reading books on ancient history, wishing to see animals roaming the Serengeti and to climb to the top of pyramids. Now I spend most of my meager wages on this dream, and its been worth every penny.

I've been on safari in Africa, sailed round the Galapagos, trekked through jungles in Asia and visited ancient cities of the middle east.. and I've still not seen as many places as I would like!!

I didn't get an opportunity to go abroad until only a few years ago, but my first two trips (Tanzania and India) were the ones that taught me the most. I went to each for a few months, stayed in small towns and villages with local people and really got to know the culture, not the glossy tourist brochure that most people experience.

The concept of CouchSurfing appeals to me because its the local people with local knowledge who will help you get the most from a place. .. and I will be more than happy to show anyone around my amazing hometown of Cardiff too!
