HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to be available to help people visiting New York City. It's an intimidating place to visit, the subways can be confusing and if you look or sound like a tourist, your likely to be taken advantage of at some point. And it ain't cheap to find a place to stay around here. I'm offering help, to the best of my abilities - show ya around, offer some tips on subway surfing and good - cheap places to eat, and maybe give you a place to crash for a few nights.

I also am hoping to travel down to Australia next May/June and am looking for someone to host me for a week or so then. Specifically, I'm trying to get to Melbourne. If you have a couch there, or was hosted there and can recommend someone cool - I'd be indebted to you for the rest of my days. I mean, come on..the cost of airfare is enough, hotel fees will seal my fate in never being able to afford it. So - any help you can give, don't hesitate to speak up! Thanks!
