I've been traveling for so long that my mission is to just put away my luggage and finally be in once place again! :P On a more serious note though, I'm really just trying to find where I'm meant to be. I think I might be there at last. Time will tell.
I don't want to go too crazy about myself, but I'll try and give you an idea.
I love listening to music, but I can hardly list of any bands or artists. I'm no audiophile but my tastes come from my moods and new discoveries.
I'm ridiculously creative, but I've yet to fully identify my outlet. I'm no artist, but every once in a while I can come up with something almost "savant" in detail. I can't play anything instrument-wise, but I wish I could play the piano or cello, two of the greatest sounds in the world. I read a lot, but I don't have bookshelves, only 5 or 6 books that I take everywhere with me and read over and over again. you should see the coffee stains in them!
I like to drink socially, more of a spirits guy than beer, I'm not a wine drinker (I don't quite get the appeal) but I LOVE Sake! If there's any beverage I want to be an aficionado of, it's Japanese Sake.
I'm a deep conversationalist, interspersed with the rare, crude joke to break things up a little. I can make you laugh, no matter who you are or what your sensibilities are. I've seen things are done things that a lot of people haven't, I'm a little more world-savvy than most too, but at the same time I'm still learning. My goal in life is to improve and to evolve and to learn and I don't care how long it takes. I enjoy every moment of it.
Life comes in waves. You gather the skills, strength and personal resources to paddle up the swell and surf the crest. When the wave subsides and you hit that low again, you build up those new experiences and resources to tackle the next wave, if you don't, you drown.
Keep learning, keep getting better and one day you'll know nothing but the highest peaks and crests.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Zip! Zilch! Nada! I'm VERY new to this. Sorry folks.
Reading, writing, photography, trying to cook better scrambled eggs (still ongoing), surfing of the non-couch variety, scuba-diving, finding the perfect Sake, movies, music, art, new technology, old technology, museums, languages (one day I'll have more than one), volunteering, animal welfare.
Music, Movies, and Books
Ehhh....I'll get to this later.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have swam with whale sharks, dolphins and sea-turtles.
Celebrities tend to randomly gravitate to me and I know a few mainstream and lesser known actors and musicians. I network like crazy without even knowing it and know a few more by less than 3 degrees.
I once saved someones life.
I volunteered (and will continue to do so) after the March 11th earthquake and tsunami in Japan. It was a life changing experience for me and I recommend anyone to do it.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm trained in 3 different types of welding and 2 types of metal cutting. I also started a non-profit humane society with my family so I have both business development skills and canine and feline veterinary experience and handling.
I also know a little carpentry and home improvement.
Countries I’ve Visited
