ABOUT ME

I am a genuine, ambitious, and passionate person. I am an explorer and adventurer at heart. I love to travel, meet new people, create new experiences, and just take in the culture and lifestyle of wherever I am. I am easy going but opinionated, and respectful of others opinions. I am currently volunteering for the Ministry of Health in Paraguay. They are interested in EMRs, telemedicine, and remote diagnostics; right up my alley! I'm always up for a good conversation or learning something new.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to make the most of every day, keeping myself busy with a variety of activities. While I feel it is important to always be working towards some sort of goal, I strive to enjoy the journey rather than focus on the end. I look for opportunities (purposefully vague!) along the way and like to give myself options to follow those opportunities where they go.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I traveled around the US for a few months and stayed with some CS along the way. Now that I'm finally situated here in Paraguay, I'm able to open my house up to people!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've crashed with a few people now, it has been great to learn about them and how they see the world. I've gotten to have some great conversations and great experiences.

Interests

So many interests; art, museums, hiking, camping, thought-provoking movies, travel, reading, spending time with family, working out, vibrams, meeting fun/interesting people, photography, mobile technologies...I'm developing more all the time

Magazines/Books - Fast Company, Wired, National Geographic, Outside, Men's Health, Vegabonding, The Power of Now, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance, and I just picked up a Kindle...I'm sure there will be lots of reading opportunities on the horizon!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Just one huh? I climbed up Mt. Kilimanjaro last fall on the Rongai route. The climb wasn't as bad as I was anticipating but the views of the glaciers and being at the top of Africa is something I'll never forget.

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a lot about the healthcare industry and mobile technology. I'm a great project manager and I pride myself on being a logical, rational thinker. I love to share my knowledge and experience with others and would love to help jump start the CouchSurfing University!
