ABOUT ME

Im sure Im like a lot of people on here that love to travel. I love meeting new and fun people while I travel and learning about different cultures. I always miss that aspect of traveling when I return home, Im hoping that by offering up my couch and my local knowledge I can provide a great experience for other travelers while still giving me the opportunity to continue to grow and meet interesting people
About me when Im not traveling: Im a professional photographer and film-maker. I love every day of my life and love that I am able to pursue an industry and passion I care so much about.
Im also very active and athletic. After college I played 2 years of professional hockey before some injuries ended my career. It was a great experience but I honestly preferred playing in college when I wasn't getting paid. The instant I started getting paid it made something I loved more then anything feel like an ordinary job and took all the passion and love out of it. I also missed the intelligent conversations we had in the locker-rooms in college. At the pro level I was around a bunch of talented athletes but they didn't bring much to the table in terms of stimulating conversation or debate.
When Im not photographing, Im eating at one of the amazing restaurants in the area or more likely rock climbing, biking, playing tennis, hiking, surfing or snowboarding.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to make every day better then the last. I want to be on my death bed and have absolutely no regrets. At my naive young age Id rather die doing something I love then from old age (is that unfair to your family??)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

This is new to me from an organized point, but whenever I travel I always hear about the great experiences people have and am excited to get involved

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Although I am new to the organized couch surfing program I have always benefited from the generosity of friends and family when I needed a place to crash. I try to return the favor as much as possible.
Im really looking forward to providing a great relaxing experience for guests at my house.

Interests

Rock climbing, mountain biking, hiking, surfing, snowboarding, tennis, soccer, pretty much all sports ect basketball.

Art: particularly photography and film, but enjoy graffiti, renaissance paintings, and architecture

Food both eating and cooking. I love going to the farmers market

Music, Movies, and Books

Obviously based on my profession I am a huge movie fan. My favorites right now are El Secreto de Sus Ojos and Children of Men

Music- I love music but Im not up to date on the best indie bands or any of that- I currently like Mana, Gypsy Kings, and Eminem. Strange mix???

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Impossible question, I see amazing things everyday! But an unforgettable experience was bungie jumping in Switzerland. The fog parted to reveal the ground more then 400 feet below just as I was jumping. Quite an experience.

I was also the goalie in the greatest college sports hockey upset when our team beat the number one team in the country in the NCAA tournament
