ABOUT ME

Alex. I think I think too much. I am traveling in Latin America, looking for new experiences and new friendships. I love good discussions and situations that force me to step outside of my comfort zone. I am always looking for ways to make myself better. My principles are truth, justice, and peace. I'm very open-minded. Liberal. Inquisitive. Above all, restless.

PHILOSOPHY

I am driven by three main principles: truth (about governments, about ourselves, about the real nature of the world, and so on), justice (giving everyone a voice and basic human rights), and peace (in communities and among nations)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm a teacher, so much of my time is dedicated to my students and my work. I care a lot about social justice so my lessons are concerned with those issues. I read, write a bit (poetry and biographical notes, mainly), observe people, travel, exercise daily, and drink a lot of coffee. I have recently started meditating and learning how to cook excellent meals.

No city is not for me; no person is beneath me; no experience of growth is beyond me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hardly have any couchsurfing experience. I have never surfed and I have never hosted. I recently moved to Guatemala. I have an extra bed available but starting in January 2013.

I am traveling in Central and South America in November and December 2012.
