The demise of capitalism and forced expulsion of Daily Mail readers from the UK would be a nice start
I try to enjoy life, be positive, happy and try and treat people with care and consideration. My social life is important to me, and Newcastle is a great place to be for that.
For every immigrant accepted into this country we should export two Daily Mail readers to the immigrant's country of origin.
Don't eat anything with a face.
Capitalism may have won a short term victory but is no long term basis to sustain peaceful life on this fragile planet.
If it didn't contradict with my quasi-Buddhist beliefs I would have everyone who took their kids to a shopping centre on a weekend shot :-)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Just joined so don't participate yet.
Americans abroad often get a bad press but, on my first major adventure, I ended up travelling across the US and ended up in a condo in Fort Lauderdale during spring break. The owner must've thought that this naive English kid was a bit out of his depth with all of the wild antics, so he took me under his wing and showed me the best of Florida. It was a wonderful experience and I'll always be grateful for his kindness.
I love music, especially live, theatre, sport (including football, skiing, cycling), salsa dancing, walking, travel and most other things that involve some interaction between people and culture.
I also do voluntary work for a community enterprise, which houses a cinema, music venue, and more or less anything that would benefit the local community.
- salsa dancing
Music, Movies, and Books
Music - Bon Iver, Christy Moore, Eddi Reader, Alison Krauss, Philip Glass, The Cornshed Sisters, Bowie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On a canoeing safari down the River Zambezi a hippo sank to the bottom of the river and passed under my canoe - scary, life-enhancing and amazing all at once :-)
Teach, Learn, Share
Although I'm not a teacher, I did do some voluntary work helping local refugees and asylum seekers with their English, so would be happy to help people with that. I also helped a friend pass her Citizenship Test (it's so hard, most native English people would fail).
