About Me

CURRENT MISSION

See the world and meet those that reside on it.

ABOUT ME

I am generally an easy going guy who just wants to hang out and relax. Life is tough enough without oneself making it harder. I also believe that there is never enough good in this world. I'm no saint but I try to help as best I can. Enjoy spending my time reading, playing games and just hanging out with friends and generally having a good time of things.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is short, live it. The past is the past, look to the future.

Why I'm on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting up with couchsurfers to teach them little things about New York that stray from the main tourist areas. I want them to enjoy New York as a New Yorker would. When I travel, it's the same but in reverse! I want to meet the locals and get to know their city from their point of view. Getting together to travel with others is great fun and is an experience in itself.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've had nothing but good times. Lots of laughs, lots of conversations and heaps of more laughter. I can't wait to meet some more couchsurfers and have even more laughs.

Interests

I suppose I would have to write myself off as a geek. Though I do enjoy playing sports (when I haven't injured myself from being a klutz). Dancing is also another plus, primarily Salsa right now. Playing games is one of my biggest time sinks though I've somehow managed to rein it in a little now. Reading books is a good way to relax as well. Not terribly good at photography but I try. I do some indoor rock climbing as well.

Music, Movies & Books

Fan of fantasy and some sci-fi novels. Big fan of "The Name of the Wind". Highly recommended to anyone who hasn't read it regardless of genre preference. Not much of a movie buff, though I do enjoy watching stuff blow up on screen.

One Amazing Thing I've Done

Walked 2 sections of the great wall of China nearing sundown during the wintertime and got windburn on my legs. Not enough layering, and totally not awesome. Walked sulfur laden mountain/volcano area of Japan. The stench of sulfur is intense. Not so amazing but I sometimes like being low key :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm a jack of few trades and a master of none...wow that sounds so horrible. But, yeah, I'm probably not the best person to learn from. But I've been told I'm a pretty good listener! Does that count for much?

Countries I've Visited

Australia, Canada, China, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Republic of, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I've Lived In
