From Montréal, Québec, currently living the great north experience in Yellowknife, NWT. French-English speaking, I'm friendly, love to travel, meet new people and eat.

PHILOSOPHY

I tend to dislike bullshit and small talk in favor of a more philosophical perspective to discussion (I studied philosophy for a while). I tend to live more for thinking and understanding, but I'm quite hedonistic too and always available for a drink.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to help couchsurfers as soon as a get into a new flat, right now it wouldn't really be possible. I havn't couchsurfed myself yet, but would love to try very soon, as I've heard some positive feedback from friends (also some negative, but I'll see for myself).

I'm somewhat of a geek, and it's also my job to be one (computer programmer), I like reading (mostly literature and sci-fi), watching obscure movies old and new, and learning stuff (my range of interests is pretty wide).

Music: too much to list, folk, experimental, indie rock, idm, hip hop, minimalism, new wave, etc. Classic movies: everything by Wong Kar Wai, HK cinema circa 1980-1995, Tarentino stuff, Pi, Akira, True Lies, American Beauty, Chinatown, Fight Club, Lost in Translation, Ghost World, Modern Times, Clerks, Manatthan, many more. Books: Dune, Nietzsche in general, Milan Kundera, Albert Camus, Margaret Atwood, Jean-Paul Sartre, many Sci-fi (Asimov, Stephenson, K. Dick, Clarke, Herbert, Bradbury, Heinlein...). Again, a lot more.
