ABOUT ME

I'm Alaskan grown and raised and love it there more than any place I've ever been. There is so much potential for an active person. You could live a thousand lifetimes there and only scratch the surface. I fight wildfires during the summer and travel as much as I can afford in the winter. My destinations involve skiing locales, rock climbing, and of course tropical oases.

PHILOSOPHY

What makes me tick is this. When I'm old...I mean REALLY old, I don't want to have regrets, I don't want to say, "I really wish I did THAT!" I want to have amazing stories that inspire my grandkids to go out and do similarly stupid things and really experience life to it's fullest.

I'm new to this but the idea behind it is excellent! Make travelling cheaper and bring people together!

Only as a ski bum on old friends' floors (sometimes the couch if they were feeling generous)!

Interests

Anything outdoors, active, and anything that will get my heart rate up and excite me. Rock climbing, skiing, mountaineering, swimming, exploring new places, making iffy-decisions and having hair-brained ideas.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed a 400 foot spire, rappelled out of a helicopter, hiked into an unknown valley deep in the rain forest on a whim, skied Alaska's backcountry, managed to stay sane throughout.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love taking people rock climbing for the first time. The looks on their faces is priceless! I'd like to learn how to SCUBA if anyone wants to teach me.
