CURRENT MISSION
Teach Vietnamese students the difference between "t" and "th"
ABOUT ME
Well, you can definitely learn a lot about me by reading the other sections. I like to lead an active life but keep things as uncomplicated as possible. I'm not usually the one to organize an event, but you can always count on me to show up!
PHILOSOPHY
-I don't believe in karma as a direct force, but in the course of a life you will most likely be affected by some previous actions.
-Don't burn bridges: You never know who will help you when you really need it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've been travelling around the world (Europe, North and Central America, Oceania, Asia) for the past six years now. I've just signed up with CouchSurfing around Christmas 2007, so I haven't been able to put it to use yet, but this website has been recommended to me by several friends, so I'm looking forward to meeting some interesting people with interesting couches.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I am new to couchsurfing.com and have not yet stayed with anyone, but I have been travelling for about six years now and have had many experiences being put up for the night with friends of friends, friends of friends of friends, and even perfect strangers. I love meeting new people through travel!
Interests
Of course, TRAVEL. I also like playing guitar and the typical around the pad activities: watching movies, playing video games, drinking with friends, etc... Beyond that I'm heavily interested in learning new languages. Currently, I'm picking up Balinese and Bahasa Indonesia.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm currently trying to digest Don Quixote by Cervantes, though it's slow going. When that's too heavy, I enjoy fast-paced and intelligently or cleverly written books. Some of my favorite authors have been Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Dan Brown, Yann Martel, Douglas Adams and Michael Chrichton. I also love epic Sci-fi/Fantasy/Adventure style movies (big special effects and explosions) as long as they're not too cheesy.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Too many things come to mind to fairly choose just one, but here's something anyways:
-Bumming around Byron Bay, Australia for a month with no money just to complete an advanced SCUBA course I won in a trivia night.
Teach, Learn, Share
Alaskan tip on staying warm: Protect your head and kidneys first. Everyone knows that most body heat escapes from the head, but by also protecting your kidneys you'll keep that warm blood flowing easier through your body. Bundle up - layering is best - and if you're still chilled, wrap a sweater or towel around your midsection between your ribcage and hips.
