ABOUT ME

I've changed in the last couple of years, and so "All" about me is a bit outdated. I've studied a lot, and been around quite a bit. I was a Boxer and a Divemaster and a Clown and a Mathematician and an Actor and a lazy bastard. brilliant.

PHILOSOPHY

The single most important realization of my life is that "I" is not at all what I thought it was. On one hand, its full of stuff I did not ask to own, habits I did not wish for, thoughts and judgements that present themselves as "mine" without asking for permission. On the other hand, I realized its not that bad. I may have opinions, good or bad memories, fears and ideals. I may have gone through pain and suffering and been kissed once by an overly masculine Irish lass when I had too much booze, and all these things had left their mark.
This is all a part of my story. But I am not my story. And all is well.

Books:

'Impro', by Keith Johnstone, the most imaginative book I've read in a long time.

"The story of your life" and other stories by Ted Chiang, whats SF is supposed to look like.

"A song of ice and fire", fantasy at its best.

"All quiet on the western front", "Catch 22", each book in its own style teaches us the important lesson of who's the real enemy of peace-loving people everywhere.

Music:

Bach specifically, and classical music in general.
"Johnny I hardly knew ya'", right from Guitar Hero 3 :)
Classical Rock, Jazz, and all kind of stuff.

Movies:

Saw "No country for old men" and "There will be blood" lately, both were brilliant.

I can teach Pure Mathematics, or Thai Boxing, or multi-threaded programming, or perhaps discuss the teachings of Gurdjieff.
I'd love to learn how to tie knots, cool Improvisation games, and juggling.
