About Me

Travelling around Europe with two friends until December. We started off in France (Paris), went to Portugal (Lisbon), we then made our way back to France by passing throught spain, including Madrid and Barcelona. We've been booking through hostels and such, but we were also curious about how couch surfing would work, so we created an account on this website, which is also why it's brand new. Don't get a wrong idea of us, we just started using this application, so we might be lacking "infos" or things users with experience might put on. If you have any question(s), feel free to ask, we will answer. We're pretty open and we just want an opportunity to load up our adventures by meeting new people from around the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Currently travelling with two friends and some backpacks. We want to see Europe and meet people. But through the locals, sure come in a hostel, hello i want a room for x days, ok byebye have fun, is cool, but actually living under the same roof with locals for 2-3 days spending quality time meeting new people, is in my opinion much better. Plus they can share their favorites, what to do, where to not go in their city/country. A different vibe and experience.

Interests

Travel is probably a huge interest for all of us, since we decided to go on a 3months trip. The passion of mixing cultures and opening our minds to see what the world has to offer is where it's at. Plus it permits us to relax and maybe make friends on our way ! Music, ahh music, a worldwide language that anyone can appreciate through different styles. To some it's a way of life, others use it as a way to escape from reality that can sometimes be harsh, expressing opinions about society and what not through your own style or simply, passing a message of love, which ever it is we can all relate to each other through it. It's kind of how I view music. I play some guitar back in Canada, iv'e got a pocket harmonica that i play from time to time, and my friends too want to learn a whole bunch of instruments such as piano, violon etc...,arts in general, I mean we visit museums whenever we can, could be about romans and their civilisation to how boats evolved and such, doesn't really matter, we're not picky, we love to know more about things in general but the best part is probably learning with people around a table and a bottle of wine ! Through either past experiences or just vast knowledge about certain subjects. All 3 of us play videogames, it's relatively a subject we know a lot about, it's a big interest in our lives too, but we also know how to value other things that are more important in a general aspect such as keeping a good shape, 2 of us have a gym membership and the other has equipment at his house. But hey, let's talk, it'll be more fun !

Music, Movies, and Books

Big fan of progressive rock, especially british bands from the 70s. I'm open to all music though. If I can groove to it, then it's good in my books!
Can't say I read too often, but I really enjoyed Dune and the Lord of the Rings and consumed the Sprawl trilogy in an instant. It's amazing how spot-on Gibson is, even today.
The last couple of years I've been going through netflix, catching up on alot of movies I've missed. I discovered asian cinema through it and I'm always thrilled to watch their crime/mafia movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can play the harmonica through my nose, if that counts. Well, one thing I want to add in this column, is to be able to say that I travelled in Europe through couch surfing, pretty amazing thing to do if you ask me. Apart from that, my definition of something that I consider amazing, would be such as jumping off in a parachute, delta-planning, driving at 250 km/h on a highway, stuff that I plan on doing in the future. For now i'll stick to travelling as amazing ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

There are no problems, only solutions! You learn from everybody you meet, but without always knowing it, you also teach and maybe open new ways of seeing things, through different perspectives, forged by different backgrounds, you never stop learning at any point in your life, we're here to share our little background with you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Stories about my travels, sharing past experiences, help around the house if needed, we really don't mind helping, doing dishes, taking out trash, stuff like that. It's our way of saying a little thank you, for providing a bed. Of course respect and politeness are a given, we're not here to bite your hand and give you a bad time, we just need a bed. Plus we usually go out daily, so we don't bother people. If you have something in mind let me know!
