Food truck and more writing.
ABOUT ME
I have a culinary degree, make artwork, and have an amazing husband. I'm still trying to figure out what I can do in the world. I tend to be disorganized, emotional, forgetful or selectively forgetful, cynical and romantic at the same time, and unusual in my visual perceptions or theories about why things are like they are. Yet above all I admire moderation and calm in others - what I strive for but probably will never truly attain. Oh well.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I want to share info about food, regional and eclectic including long lost recipes, stuff only grandmas know, and the growing culture of food trucks and alternative gourmet spaces.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I don't have too many couchsurfing experiences. Let's see...now that I am an adult, when I go home to my Dad's house for the holidays, I am stuck sleeping on his couch. In the living room, right off of the dining room, which is right off of the kitchen. Invariably, someone gets up at 7 am or before and flips on the monstrous, ceiling-length, late 80's-designed flourescent light, which could blind the already blind, and the same indiviual will try very hard to be quiet but will still end up banging around alot with various kitchen accoutrements. By then I am awake and angry from the light anyway so it doesn't matter.
Interests
Interests include learning to be a better baker, maintaining artistic skill and growing my abilities to create as well as focus, and trying to erase several years of brainwashing from secretarial jobs. I also love drinking, eating, and organic movements.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
La Fontanelle in Naples, with skulls and bones piled high and angels covered in light through the tall windows.
Teach, Learn, Share
I make the best baklava ever. I have never tasted baklava as good as mine, and everyone who has had it agrees. I don't do alot of cooking stuff well, but the baklava... One of the keys is layering. That's all I can say about it though.
