About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learning as much as I can about everything

ABOUT ME

I'm a part-time student, part-time science writer, full time geek.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'll be sharing a bed when I can, (hopefully) travel around, and spread interesting facts about interesting things. ( Did you know ancient middle eastern swords used nanotechnology ? Did you know that in 17th century England noblemen used penis bones from badgers as a tie clip ? Did you know that only by looking at his face, you can know how good its hearing is ? Stuff like that.)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None yet, but I have hosted friends that I already knew. Looking forward to try and meet other weird different people.

Interests

I like weird, nerdy stuff, natural sciences and ancient history. I also like folk and heavy metal music, and play the bass guitar.

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot of fantasy books: I prefer "gritty" stuff, like GRRM. or Pat Rothfuss. Also, I'm a big Discworld fan.I generally like anything that is witty (My favorite all-time author is Douglas Adams.)

I'm also into classic SF (I've read every novel by Isaac Asimov) and I read A LOT of Popular Science (Stephen J. Gould is probably my favorite).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to Knivskjellodden (Europe's northernmost point) camping, walking and hitchiking.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a lot of biology ( especially molecular biology, bioinformatics and entomology), chemistry (esp. biochemistry), statistics, and some basic physics. Also interesting miscellanea.

I'd like to learn both more languages and linguistics (esp. historical and evolutionary linguistics)

Countries I’ve Visited

Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Norway, Sweden, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
