Glad to meet you!
I like to think of myself as an open canvas, traveling from place to place to seek novelty and experiences that will teach me a lifetime's worth. I left the normal routine behind because I'm still searching for my place in the world, so in the mean time I'm hoping that traveling will give me a more worldly outlook on life, and some kicks along the way.
I'm respectful, tidy, and pretty relaxed; I enjoy thoughtful conversations and hearing people's stories, but a quick laugh or nice bike ride once in a while is pretty good too. I like being shown the local ways of life - visit a nice cafe, a pleasant park, a famous street. I'm always looking to try new things, and appreciate exchanging ideas with those I come across, hopefully finding new points of view and teaching me more about myself.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Sometimes the people you meet can be just as memorable as the places you see; I think couchsurfing is a great way to get in touch with local folks. Learn a few local tips, meet a friend or two along the way, sharing ideas - a welcome rest from moving between one scenic spot to the next all the time. I believe that by interacting with others, we can learn more about ourselves and inspire one another.
Photography - I enjoy being able to record and tell a story with photos
Urban Exploration - Alongside the photos, finding strange and unknown places in town gets me going as well
Active Outdoors - Biking, hiking, and anything else that keeps me active is pretty good fun
Art and Media - I'm always adding to my collection of music, movies, video games, and anything creative, so I look forward to your suggestions
- video games
- outdoor activities
- urban exploration
Music, Movies, and Books
A little bit of everything; Japanese pop, Schwarzenegger films, golden age hip hop, video games... I would also love to hear your local recommendations! I appreciate pretty much anything that can be thought provoking, fun, or emotional.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Life in Hong Kong; the dense urban environment is like no other place.
Teach, Learn, Share
Photography enthusiast - I used to edit photos at a newspaper. I can explain the basics of photography and how to do post work in Photoshop; I could probably give you some pointers if you take lots and lots of travel photos like me!
