Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Have life changing experiences.
ABOUT ME
I was born in Maryland, US but raised in Virginia, US. I like to think of myself as a creative person. I live in my head too much but am working on it (mindfulness meditation helps). I have watched too many movies and read too many books, so I always have the urge to make life more like them. I am a theater person, but I don't like to be defined as just that. I am currently a student at the University of Virginia where I am in an interdisciplinary program called Political and Social Thought (we read amd analyze EVERYTHING) and minoring in Theater. After graduation I plan to move to New York (I know, I know, it's a cliche), hopefully with some kind of day job, and see how far I can get with artistic interests.
PHILOSOPHY
In the works, but I know it involves using conscious/subconscious mind interaction to live life fully and in connection with the rest of the world. I am a big fan of mindfulness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am looking to couchsurf in Costa Rica, but I will be willing to host at UVA when I get back if people do not mind sharing space in a dorm (nope, not an independent adult just yet).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
None so far, but my sister heartily recommends it. She is a veteran.

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: 2001: A Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, Dr. Strangelove, A Lion in Winter (these are three favorites I like to list because they make me look smart and into classics, but I'll try most movies)
Books: Ender's Game, Slaughterhouse-Five, Abarat, most classic sci-fi and fantasy (I don't like ripoffs of Star Wars or LOTR)
Music: Tears for Fears (favorite), Depeche Mode, Queen, Roy Orbison, Chris Isaak, The Killers, Kanye West, ASAP Rocky, The Police, Motown, U2, everything but Country (yes, I know everybody says that)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
This summer I decided to accept an internship in Costa Rica. It is my first time living abroad, I knew nobody here when I arrived, and I just went for it. Two weekends ago I saw my first tropical beach sunset.
Teach, Learn, Share
Language practice! I am always looking to improve my Spanish and even learn other languages.
Music stuff! I cannot play any instruments but I love singing/coming up with tunes/fiddling with sound software
