ABOUT ME

Social & friendly.

Would like to someday do a little more travelling around the world. I`ve been from the East Coast to the West Coast of Canada on numerous occasions & many places in between. Seen a good portion of the US too, including Hawaii. Also visited various countries in the UK, Japan, China & Hong Kong (when it was still a country).

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that we should all try to have a positive impact on those we meet in one way or another.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have been volunteering at Ottawa Bluesfest & Folkfest for the last 2 years. Love getting involved with festivals. Also attended the Toronto International Film Festival for the last 2 years & competed in the Ottawa Dragon Boat Festival.

Local events in any community are a great way to have fun, meet people & stay involved. Anyone who wants to know anything about having fun in the Ottawa area should speak to me.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Mostly just couches of friends & family who are always willing to put up a good friend for the night.

We eventually started bringing air mattresses to my brother's place in Montreal for his parties.

Just about anything
I mostly listen to indie rock.
Fond of traditional Newfoundland bands & songs in particular, having gone to university there.
Love going to concerts, especially as a free volunteer perk.

Books:
Mostly fantasy, sci-fi & action packed adult fiction like the Dirk Pitt series by Clive Cussler.

My favorite series of all time is the Death Gate Cycle by Margaret Weis & Tracy Hickman. An amazing series of 7 books, read through them all at least 3 times.

Favorite single book, the Redemption of Althalus.

Also loved the Hunger Games series which I ready fairly recently.

Currently reading Discworld novels by Terry Pratchett.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have spent many summers working as a canoe tripper for a summer camp based in Ontario. Got many cool trip photos posted on my facebook among other things.

I believe that any Canadian doesn't have to go far from home to see amazing things & have one of a kind experiences, it can all be found in our backyard.
