ABOUT ME

I'm a hodgepodge of unusual and sometimes contradictory traits. I'm an unrepentant former performing musician, an unmotivated artist, an avid eater of inexpensive local food, but with a desire to try YOUR local food (unless its still moving when eaten). I'd rather work for money, than sit at a desk being paid to do nothing. I replaced my own furnace, water heater, and soon will have rebuilt a bathroom starting from a hole in the concrete foundation of my house. I wear a suit to work, but have overalls that I ought to keep in my car just in case I want to do some dirty work without changing first.

PHILOSOPHY

Plan some, do some, undo some, and update the plan.

That, and taking the sign at its word that it is dangerous to feed the bears.

Newly introduced to CS, and still getting to know what it's all about.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've really only relied of friends to donate their couches until now, not hospitality of people I have not met yet. My trip to Puerto Rico and the occasional college road trip had me on the floor or sofa or guest bed, instead of the hotels that have been the norm since then.

Interesses

Repairing my motorcycle (too often!), recreational home remodeling, throwing darts at the pub, if you can call a sports bar in Arlington a "pub." The occasional dance class, tour of a museum, or dinner out.

Sailing the Straights of Gibralter from the Mediteranean side of Morrocco to Seville. In the middle of an 90 degree August night. Dodging oil tankers. In gale force winds. FUN!!!!
