About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am moving to Edinburgh in September to find work. I´d love to meet some locals as I won´t know anyone there.

ABOUT ME

I am happy most of the time. I am the most relaxed person i know. I love Gramar and I correct peoples' all the time. If you think this might bother you it's probably best if we stay out of each others way. I consider the pronounciation of the letter 'L' in AustraLia of high importance. Did I mention I like dancing? For the past 4 weeks I have become an expert on football. Most importantly I find other peoples' couches very comfortable - conveniently enough.

PHILOSOPHY

Living is good fun. Making friends with randoms is my favourite thing to do. I try to make friends with at least one random everyday.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Considering this question is in the present tense, and I only found the site 10 minutes ago, I would say that apart from filling in this online profile, I'm not really doing a whole lot for the CS 2 community. I promise though, that I will do lots as soon as I am able.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am a virgin to the Couch Surfing experience. But I must say, I am falling fast. It's good fun. As soon as I have a funny story to tell I'll let you know.

Interests

I am a good cook and promise to cook you yummy things if you'll have me stay :) I like dancing like an idiot in public spaces, meeting cool people, the outdoors and old buildings - the novelty hasn't worn off yet because I only just left Australia.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of films, especially Australian ones. I like dancing to crap music and listening to cool music, but I don't like it too loud - especially in the car! I like childrens' literature. If you've never heard of who sank the boat?, where the wild things are, or hairy McLary, I would rather not stay with you. But beggers can't really be chooses now can they?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Gosh, this is difficult. I'd say that the most amazing thing I've done is leave Australia. It's something I'd wanted to do for 21 years so when I got on that plane it was pretty bloody amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Did you know that an 'Ocker' is an Australian Male exhibiting the supposed national characteristics of brashness, insensitivity, sloppiness and a high beer consumption. They also pronounce Australia 'Austraya'. Australians that act like this at home are bad enough, but when they do it outside their own country it's just embarrassing. I'm sorry for all the ockers you've come across. The main purpose of my travels is to show the world that there are some cultured, well mannered Aussies around, even if locating them on occasion can prove challenging. For the record, any of these characteristics on their own can be considered okay. High Beer consumption for example is allowed and I will not only tollerate it but encourage it.
