About Me

Traipsing about, looking for people, food, and knowledge

Well, I try to be an engaging, polite, and good-times kind of dude. Judging by my dad's experience, I'll be able to grow a full beard in 5 or 6 years. I'm pretty adaptable to most types of experiences. And you'll probably be able to find me by my long blonde hair.

I'll try anything once (including, but not limited, to food) and usually like it.

Views, variety, good music, digital life, etiquette, eating good/eating great, personal relationships, and beautiful parties.

Music, Movies, and Books

I dig Ennio Morricone, he's the guy who made the music for the old Italian Westerns. Also stuttery, ghostly electronic music. And anything that's super sickeningly happy.

Korean movies have been occupying my time lately. As far as I can tell, there are three rough categories
1: Hyper-violent and dark,
2: Starkly emotional with an undercurrent of darkness, (시/Poetry)
3: Goofy (in a mostly dark way)

Right now I'm reading a staggeringly detailed biography of Lyndon Johnson, an American president who was the most vile, back-stabbing dude ever, and also did more to advance civil rights in the US than any other president but Abraham Lincoln.

Teach, Learn, Share

We could iron out the finer points of English grammar.
Or I could school ya in my basic BUT exclamatory, idiomatic, and vulgar Korean.
And if you really want to learn some intermediate, dusty textbook French, that's on the back shelf to the right.

We could make some music together, if you're into that.

I know about twenty card games, how to blow perfect smoke rings, and some cute tricks, I guess.

You good at an adventure sport? I'm not! But I'd sure like to be!

Do you know interesting facts about the history of somewhere? I might know some, too! Let's swap.

I'd like my Japanese to at least rival my Korean in the next year or so.

And if you need an ESL curriculum, I wrote one! It's a back-scratching kinda situation.
