Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see as much as I can with the time that I have, and to write about it.
ABOUT ME
I think I’m very easy going and considerate, open minded and willing to try new things. I love learning new things from other people, and I think knowledge should be shared (unless there’s a patent pending). I love writing when I have something good to write about, and I’m currently writing a travel blog for my trip around Australia. I love meeting new people, but I also enjoy time to myself. I never get bored, there’s always something to do! And I’m a vegetarian (non fussy).
PHILOSOPHY
Live and let live. Respect the environment and the creatures that live alongside us, they were here first. I'm here to see and learn as much as I can with what I can afford.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I’d like to couch surf for parts of my travels in order to see the real world and not just the tourist spots, and when I stop somewhere long enough I’d like to offer my couch to other travellers so that they can do the same.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
With my first couch surfing host I had a go at kickboxing, Ju-Jitsu and fire twirling (not with real fire, I’m far too uncoordinated for that!), which was a great start to my couch surfing experience!
Interests
Wildlife and nature. Writing. Drawing. Sitting and thinking. Reading. Learning the guitar (slowly). Board games. Long walks and long drives. Seeing new things.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love comedy, whether it’s film, TV or books.
The best books that I’ve ever read (so far); The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Bill Bryson A Short History of Nearly Everything and Bill Bryson Down Under.
There are so many great films to choose from! If you class how good a film is by how often you’ve watched it then my choices have to be Ace Ventura 1 & 2, Men in Black, Independence Day, Jurassic Park, The Lion King, Blazing Saddles, Tremors and Dirty Dancing. In my defence these were the days of VHS, a lot of free time and limited choice…
My music taste is very varied. I like a song because I like it, not because it’s by a certain artist or of a certain genre. I listen to the lyrics and I really like a good beat or a bit of bass. I like a lot of pop and rock, and I like a lot of old songs and little known random stuff. I love parodies and comedy songs too.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I’m a late starter so I haven’t done anything amazingly amazing. But for me, taking a road trip through the outback with a travel partner I’d only just met, camping with no facilities and close to nature, and watching sunsets with cold beers was pretty amazing.
Teach, Learn, Share
I know a lot of useless stuff about animals, I also know a lot of stuff about animals that may be useful one day. I can fold any sized crisp packet into a small triangle so it takes up less space in your rubbish bin. I will try and cook nice food but can't guarantee the end result. I know absolutely nothing about history, I wasn’t good at history in school and now I must catch up. I would also benefit from some political opinions, I’m still forming mine. I require more guitar lessons in order to provide any kind of entertainment, but I always have a guitar song book on hand in the hope that it may get used.
