ABOUT ME

We are a youngish couple from Sydney, Australia, setting out for a European driving adventure! We hope to do a lot of camping and see the sights, go to festivals and meet lovely locals and immerse ourselves in the colourful cultures of the places we travel.

This is Ali's first trip to Europe and Nathan's second time on the continent, though we have also been to many parts of Asia, Central America, New Zealand,and explored Australia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We would like to hang out with our potential hosts but also realise that people have lives and are busy doing their own thing. We are very independent but love meeting new people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Ali did some couch surfing while travelling in Mexico in 2013 and had a great experience! It's a great way to travel and we look forward to hosting fellow travellers too.
Whilst we are recent joiners of couch surfing, we have both hosted people at home who we met in our previous travels and love the opportunity to show off our home town.

Interests

We love seeing live music, many forms of electronic music, we love delicious food, seeing the natural sights as well as the nightlife and meeting new people.

We love cooking, socialising, cycling, hiking, swimming, reading a good book, and laughing lots.

Music, Movies, and Books

We like listening and dancing to live music, many different types of music. We have broad taste and when at home go to many small outdoor music festivals.

We don't watch a lot of movies but like to support Australian and low budget film.

We love to read and enjoy the classics as well as modern literature. At the moment Nathan is reading To Kill A Mockingbird and Ali is reading Middlemarch.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

We have driven from one side of Australia to the other through the desert. Nath has witnessed a full solar eclipse. We have scuba dived beautiful coral reefs, eaten kangaroos and emu (not roadkill). Nath has climbed many dizzy heights and Ali met all types of weird and wonderful people in Sydney through work.

Teach, Learn, Share

We can teach you things about Australian culture, love to share travel tips and a good story or two. We love to learn about different culture and language. Nath is good with his hands. We enjoy sharing good food, wine and our time.
