Hi! I'm Alice, I live in Cambridge, England where I'm a first year uni student of sociology and politics. I love photography, art, music, I read a lot, visit the theatre and cycle everywhere. I am also a vegetarian/vegan and am interested in healthy living, yoga and also travelling! I am interested in the work of charities, and particularly interested in environmental sustainability. I have raised money through busking for the Nepal earthquake in 2015, as well as shaving off all my hair for charity, and busking in Cambridge every year to send 5 children to school in Zimbabwe. A while ago I travelled in Spain and have spent half a year in Nepal and India, volunteering and meeting many amazing people along the way! (https://youtu.be/2KVcr3lhH48) I am very open and friendly, and love meeting new people and travellers to hear stories and discover new cultures.
It is one of my favourite things to meet new people, make music together and have interesting conversations. Try new foods and watch the lights at night.
I made a film with my friend of our hitch-hiking travels! (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhrQEoRDcRU)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m hoping to use Couchsurf to meet new people. It's the best way to discover cities, to feel part of the community rather than from the perspective of a tourist. Hopefully now I’m studying I’ll be able to give back to other travellers in the way I was able to meet wonderful Couchsurfers in the past.
