About Me

I'm a recent college graduate just looking to travel around before I have to settle down and get a "real" job.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mainly I just want to meet new people, make friends, become acquainted with the locals and customs, dabble in learning another language and see as much of Europe before I have to head back to the States. (Also I'm not trying to break the bank while doing it–that post-grad life will get to you!)

I enjoy adventuring to new places, especially coffeeshops, bookstores and bars.

I'm also a huge foodie so I'm always willing to try out a new restaurant, food stand, generally appetizing meal.

And if I'm not doing any of those things then I'll spend my spare time by hiking, taking photos, playing board games, going to San Diego Comic Con, reading, and keeping up with current news events

Music, Movies, and Books

Musicals: Hairspray, Les Miserables, Hunchback of Notre Dame

Movies: Atonement, Cast Away, Anastasia, Les Miserable, The Sandlot, Munich, Crazy Stupid Love, Avengers (most Marvel movies), The King and I, Bridesmaids, Pitch Perfect, and way too many more to list

Books: 1984, Freakonmics, Then They Came for Me: Rosewater, The Audacity of Hope, The Kite Runner, The New Jim Crow

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

-Not really something I "did", but one amazing thing is that I was stung/bit by a scorpion 13 times when I twelve on New Years Eve and somehow survived!

-I've gone skydiving, visited Mount Rushmore, and fed a baby crocodile (I know they might not sound "Amazing" but I think its cool enough to mention)

Teach, Learn, Share

-I guess I'd like to help break away from some of the stereotypes that Americans often are associated with. And the only way I know how is by sharing my story and personal experiences

-I want to engage and learn as much about the locals of that country as is humanly possible! This can be little things from the best coffeeshop in town, countries the host as visited, commonly celebrated holidays, or what their biggest pet peeve is!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can bring a bottle or beverage, flowers, sweets, good conversations, and/or my cleaning abilities

In all honesty, I really just want to have a positive experience with my host and am flexible and willing to make accommodations to do so. I would love to spend time with my host and learn about their culture and experiences, and in turn maybe share a few stories about my own. I also understand that my host has a life and might be to busy to "entertain" or interact with me and I completely understand that as well! In which case I can be very discreet and minimize my interactions.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Mexico, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
