ABOUT ME

Aloha! I am an Austin, Texas native but call Hawaii my home. At the moment I am in my last semester of graduate school to become a Waldorf teacher. It's a nurturing, independent school that educates children through the arts. History, music, the arts and teaching are my passion by day, and dancing my passion by night! I love to meet new people and learn all I can from them. There would be no history without each and every one of us. Above all I believe in being true, and loving life to its fullest, mahalo!

PHILOSOPHY

Conquer your fear, and you conquer your life. Wishes and plans constantly change. Life is not a straight road, but a winding path that may lead you through dark forests or along bright beaches. The only solace you will find is in your own heart, and knowing that "what will be, will be". Stop wearing your wishbone where your backbone ought to be, it is better to live your own destiny imperfectly than to live an imitation of somebody elses life with perfection. L'amor che move il sole e l'altre stelle, all the love, is the love you have for yourself.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I am just getting started. I met a fellow couch surfer just a few days ago in Napoli, Italy. He took me along on his CS experience and I could not believe how immersed I became in the local community. Truly, I cannot wait for my first CS stay and to host my first CSer!

Interests

At home you can find me: Riding my horse Christmas hunter jumper, cliff diving, free diving, hiking, training for my annual triathlon, swimming (all the time), teaching yoga, writing, reading any historical novel, cooking treats from around the world, sipping wine with good friends, dancing until dawn, salsa on Saturday nights, talking philosophy over tea, hosting the Oahu songwriter's group, playing piano in my pajamas, crashing every concert - last attended: Passion Pit, and pretty much saying yes to any adventure that comes my way!
