I am a 28 year old graduate student studying social work at the university of berkeley. I am planning for a trip to India and Europe for the summer, while taking some time off from my studies.
I just spent six weeks in India and am now spending some time in Europe, before i head back to the states.
i like to enjoy myself, to immerse myself into the unknown, and to learn as much as possible without being pretentious.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I just signed up but am hoping to start as a surfer.
I have done quite a bit of couch surfing while passing through the US on a few trips. I've also opened my home to many friends on many occasions.
sleeping in late, alaska, learning new spanish words, riding bikes, wandering, swimming in rivers, making breakfast, crosswords, camping, dirty martinis, fried plantains, kickball, farmer's markets, hot springs, other people's children, avocados, being cozy, traveling to places where i'm totally out of place, shoes, campfires, my mom, your mom. i don't want to write anymore.

Music, Movies, and Books
i don't watch much. i love mulholland drive. i hate before sunrise and before sunset. i wanted to strangle the boy from into the wild. i was surprised that super bad made me laugh. a lot.
east of eden is my favorite, but that might be because it was the last book that i had left to read while living in ghana, so i had to ration my reading every night. i relished every minute of it. i'm reading infinite jest right now. it's long as fuck, so i probably won't need to update this for a long time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wow, where to start. The most amazing thing I saw TODAY was the scene from a canoe, while floating down the russian river in northern california.
