About Me

After a long while away, I am back in Copenhagen.
I'm writing my MA thesis at the moment, so I don't really have time to host.

But if you're a climber, artist/photographer, philosopher or writer or find that we have other things in common - drop me a message. I'd love to meet you. Maybe you wanna join me climbing, see an exhibition or at the very least have lunch.
One always has to eat lunch, even when busy, right? ;)

I love the sweet core of carrots (I am eating a carrot right now, and therefore just re-realized how much I love it, and how essential little things can be), i love interesting faces, i like getting lost (it's luxury), i like slow books and fast men; strange things, beautiful things, ugly things. I like anything I don't understand, but will try a little too hard to understand it. I like freezing winters and smeltering hot summers. I like words that no one uses (say: tin-tinn-abulation), I like to always be moving, there is no excuse to be bored. i love to order the strangest thing on the menu just to see what it looks like. i like the greys, the inbetweens and undefinable. Anything between the lines. I am a little clumsy, sometimes too direct, I'm told, but I am open-minded and not judgemental. I am boring sometimes, but never bored. I like using my mind (books, art, study, humour, philosophy) and testing my body (running, climbing, hiking, biking, anyth-ing)
I am coming to take portraits of your city, your neighbourhood and you!

"To love. To be loved. To never forget your own insignificance. To never get used to the unspeakable violence and the vulgar disparity of life around you. To seek joy in the saddest places. To pursue beauty to its lair. To never simplify what is complicated or complicate what is simple. To respect strength, never power. Above all, to watch. To try and understand. To never look away. And never, never, to forget.“

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have been some kind of CouchSurfing minimalist. The part I enjoy most is the showing of places. Hoping I can give my surfers a taste of how living feels around here.
I'll likely want to take your portrait!

I've had a few interesting people staying over, some that I already knew and some that I didn't. And stayed the strangest, most beautiful places. This is a wonderful place to meet people, make friends you'd never cross roads with otherwise, as well as a wonderful way of re-discovering my city and others.

Music, Movies, and Books

Last movie (not anymore, but who can keep up) I saw in the cinema: Jauja, a Danish-Argentinian movie by Lisandro Alonso (check it out:
The guitar solo in the trailer is gorgeous too.
I like movies like that, but I like any other just as well. I have friends that study cinema and media, and am everybody's movie-company.

I read a looot. Like really. I like travelling to read too. Nothing like sitting somewhere new, watching life go by, reading from a different point of view so to say. I have a goodreads profile, where's the link, here:

Everybody loves music, of course. I like handmade things. And strange fusions of genre. I never know what my favourite is, but I've seen live and street music inside and outside of my comfort zone and never fail to amaze.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There was a moment, where I decided that anything could surprise me positively, and it's done wonders for me.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to take your photograph, if you'll let me. And I'll let you take mine. I'm using vintage mediumformat. You'll love it.

I am maybe delusional (oh well) but I make excellent pancakes.
Also love cooking, generally. Let's make something you've always wanted to make, but never dared!

Let's talk philosophy, if you like. I'm all up in Western existentialism and Philosophy of Mind.

I spend rainy days in museums, or coffeeshops with a book and a notepad. Both can be done and enjoyed in company. It's good to slow down. I'll show you.

Oh, and I wanna learn more about wine. And I like simple, fresh foods. Cooking, or restaurants, if I'm not entirely broke(because I've eaten out at too many restaurants)
I also very recently started to get a taste for whiskey, the smokey ones, but know nothing at all about them. Let's have some together, and tell me all that you know!

And French, I have to do something about my French. I've been trying to be fluent at this for SO long now, it's embarrassing.
